Real Madrid’s woes continue and it appears the board are growing inpatient with what they are witnessing.

There is no doubt that Zinedine Zidane has been hugely successful for the La Liga giants since being their manager across two spells, however this season has seen things completely flip on their side.

Despite being the defending La Liga champions, Real Madrid have looked anything but like being the best side in Spain and have even carried that poor form into the UEFA Champions League.

Zidane witnessed his side suffer a shock defeat to minnows Cadiz CF last week as the new boys to the first tier left everyone stunned. Even those bettors that use online-betting.org would have likely missed out on placing a bet with the best bookmakers in this particular fixture.

Los Blancos then suffered a heavy defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League as they opened their campaign in the worst possible way.

Despite finishing the game with a 3-2 scoreline, Zidane witnessed his side slump to a 3-0 deficit before the half-time whistle.

Indeed, the club’s hierarchy appear to be growing frustrated with the poor performances and inconsistencies being shown by the club that they are now considering to make a managerial replacement.

According to reports in Spain, AS are claiming that Mauricio Pochettino or legendary forward, Raul, could be considered as potential replacements.

Raul is considered to be Florentino Perez’s ‘ideal’ candidate, however there are questions about his ability.

The legendary striker, who won 16 trophies in 16 years at the Santiago Bernabeu, returned to take over as manager of their reserve team after spending time as a La Liga ambassador in the United States and has had some success.

Pressure continues to mount on Zidane

Due to the pandemic, Zidane was not given much in regards to financial power to improve his squad over the summer, whilst he also saw a number of players depart.

However, the role at the Santiago Bernabeu is always a job with huge amounts of pressure and if things are not working, they do not tend to last too long in the role.

To make things worse for Real Madrid, their poor form could not have come at a worse time for the legendary Frenchman.

Los Blancos will face fierce rivals FC Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday and if they do not come away with a positive result, then Raul or Pochettino could be seen in the dugout very soon.
