The two powerhouse clubs of Spanish football, Real Madrid and Barcelona, have been consistently fighting it out in the LaLiga and the transfer market.

The race for Brazilian sensation Vitor Roque has seen Real Madrid and Barcelona join the hunt. According to press sources in Europe, the player has starred for Athletico and is now being pursued by both Spanish giants.

Both teams currently lead the LaLiga standings by occupying the top 2 positions. According to the odds at, both teams have an equal chance of winning the league as both have odds of +100.

When it comes to acquiring Brazilian talent in recent years, Real Madrid has had a great time. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo stand out as two prime instances of this. At this stage, they are both making an impact on Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

Vinicius had a breakthrough during the 2021/22 season, establishing himself as a legitimate star for Real Madrid. He had always been regarded as having tremendous skill, but the last time around, he finally developed his finishing.

Since then, he has become one of the team’s most consistent goal scorers and appears to be a future Ballon d’Or contender. On the other hand, if the beginning is any indication, it seems that Rodrygo will make similar progress.

As a result, Real Madrid has done an excellent job in recent years of recognising and grooming young Brazilian talents, and it appears that they are currently interested in another. But it seems like Barcelona is also interested this time. Keeping a close eye on Vitor Roque are Real Madrid and Barcelona. Juventus is also mentioned in connection with him.

Roque, only 17 years old, has already become this year’s Copa Libertadores’ biggest revelation and assisted his side in reaching the championship game.

He is a current member of Athletico Paranaense. Transfermarkt statistics show that in six games in the Copa Libertadores, Roque has scored twice and assisted twice.

As a result, he is regarded as the newest sensation in Brazilian football, which explains why teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid appear to be keeping an eye on the striker.

Final words

We have yet to see this transfer accepted by Atletico, but it seems that nothing can stop both Barcelona and Real Madrid from competing to get a player they want. Roque will indeed bring a new dimension to a team that needs to keep its momentum toward the Spanish League title and Champions League.
